A Note from Katie Kolodinski
In Support of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation
DEPTHS is a collection shaped by the ocean - its quiet strength, fragility, and intricate beauty. It reflects what lies beneath the surface, both in nature and in ourselves.
Drawing inspiration from the sea comes with a sense of responsibility.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the world’s most vital ecosystems. Home to thousands of marine species, including six of the seven sea turtles, it’s facing real and urgent threats - from rising temperatures to invasive species and declining water quality.
Through this collection, we’re using our platform to share the work of the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and help amplify their message.
If this resonates with you, I encourage you to explore the cause. Every donation helps protect what matters most.

Why We’re Supporting the Great Barrier Reef Foundation
From Katie Kolodinski, Founder of Silk Laundry
I’ve lived near the ocean for most of my life. Its beauty, power, and mystery have shaped how I see the world—and how I design. But with that awe comes a sense of responsibility. Our coral reefs, especially along the Great Barrier Reef, are under serious threat. Climate change, pollution, and overfishing continue to put these fragile ecosystems at risk.
DEPTHS draws from the beauty beneath the surface. Inspired by leafy sea dragons off Australia’s southern coast, the calm waters of Cala Canyelles in Barcelona, and the intricate forms of coral, kelp, and shell—each piece in the collection tells a story of connection, and a call to protect what inspires us.
With this collection, we’re using our platform to raise awareness and encourage our community to support the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. Their work in reef restoration, marine science, and long-term protection is critical. By highlighting their efforts, we hope to give something back to the ecosystems that have shaped so much of what we do.
Thank you for being part of it.
