Earth Day Challenge

By Laura Marshall

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth and one of the richest and most complex natural ecosystems in the world. It’s home to thousands of species of marine life including fish, dolphins and six of the world’s seven species of marine turtle. Climate change is the biggest threat to the future of our Reef. Its impacts, which include rising water temperatures, ocean acidification and more severe weather events, make it difficult for the Reef to recover and adapt fast enough to survive. The facts are clear – coral reefs and their communities are on the front line of climate change and we know this is the critical decade in which to act with urgency. The challenge is great but together we can save our Reef for future generations.

Please donate generously to invest in our Reef for future generations...

The theme of Earth Day 2022; “Invest in Our Planet", is focused on accelerating solutions to combat our greatest threat, climate change, and to activate everyone – governments, citizens, and businesses – to do their part. Everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable.

It's often hard not to feel overwhelmed by the immense challenges facing our Reef and how each individual can make a real difference. But just by changing one everyday action in the lead up to Earth Day on 22 April, I'm determined to make a positive impact for the Reef.

I would love if you could support me and the Reef by making a donation today.
